tarnished the image of the force.

He said if the authorities detected anyone doing so, further investigations would be carried out before appropriate action was taken.

"If any member or officer dressed in obscene conduct enters Tik Tok for example, we will take the investigation and also take appropriate action," Mazlan said.

He made the remarks to reporters after the handover ceremony of the Toyota Hilux GS Cargo PDRM Terengganu Contingent vehicle at the Federal Reserve Force Base (PSP) Unit 6 Wakaf Tapai here, on Sunday.

Tegas Mazlan, apart from being prohibited from making extreme actions on social media, also reminded its officers and staff not to issue any ugly comments to the government or the uniformed forces.

He said these people have specific channels to convey any information or dissatisfaction through associations.

In December 2020, former Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Abdul Hamid Bador once advised officers and members of the Police not to play social media app Tik Tok while on duty as it was inappropriate and tarnished the image of the force.

He said acts such as dancing in the app were not 'sweet' performed by an officer or a member of a uniformed team because the act seemed to disgrace the police uniform.
