The Ulek Mayang costume brought good fotune to Lishalliny of Malaysia when she won best costume at Miss Grand International
KUALA LUMPUR: The Ulek Mayang-themed costume brought good luck to Malaysia's representative at Miss Grand International, Lishalliny Kanaran, when she was crowned the best national costume winner, last night.
Named '7 Ancient Princesses of Ulek Mayang', it takes
Accompanied by seven 'princess statues', Lishalliny wore clothes like a black and gold pawang.
The seven princesses, dressed in blue and gold, were fitted with luxurious head accessories.
The win also saw Lishalliny, 24, successfully place herself in the top 20.
In the final in Bangkok, Thailand, Vietnamese representative Tien Thuc Thuy Nguyen was crowned the winner, while Stephanie Mercedes Medina of Ecuador and Lorena Gonçalves Rodrigues of Brazil came in second and third place respectively.
