15 teenagers arrested for partying at condo in Shah Alam

SHAH ALAM: 15 teenagers, including school students partying at a luxury condominium in Section 7 here were so consumed among themselves when they were raided and caught by the police early this morning.
In the raid at 1.30am, all 11 teenagers and four girls, aged 16 to 20, were participating in a 'private party' at the rented residence.
Shah Alam District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Baharudin Mat Taib said the raid was carried out by his party through public information about the party.
"During the raid, all the teenagers were sitting and some of them were in a trance, suspected to be under the influence of drugs.
"Besides that, they were found tired after partying since 9pm (yesterday) and should have ended at 4am this morning," he said in a statement today.
According to him, apart from 14 teenagers including four school students, they also found drugs at the scene.
“We confiscated a packet containing plant material suspected to be cannabis which was estimated to weigh 2.30 grams.
"A check found that the organizer of the party who was also arrested worked as a food delivery man and had a past record of drug cases," he explained.
He added that the condominium was rented by a suspect for RM200 yesterday and they communicated through the WeChat application.

were taken to the Narcotics Criminal Investigation Division (BSJN) Shah Alam Office to undergo urine screening.
"Preliminary screening results found that eight of them were positive for drugs, including amphetamine and methamphetamine.
"Three suspects were also found to have criminal records related to drugs," he said.
According to him, a total of 15 compounds were issued for failing to comply with standard operating procedures (SOPs) under Regulation 16 of the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Regulations 1988.
“The offense is for attending a gathering activity with a large attendance so that it is difficult to carry out physical distancing
"It provides for a compound of RM2,000 per person," he said.
According to Baharudin, the Shah Alam Magistrate allowed a remand for three days on all suspects to assist in the investigation in accordance with Section 6 and Section 15 (1) (a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.-
"Preliminary screening results found that eight of them were positive for drugs, including amphetamine and methamphetamine.
"Three suspects were also found to have criminal records related to drugs," he said.
