PUTRAJAYA, July 5 -- Datuk Jamil Rakon has been appointed as the new Senior Deputy Secretary-General (TKSUK) of the Prime Minister's Department (JPM), effective today.
JPM in a statement said Jamil, 59, replaces Datuk Seri Mohd Sallehuddin Hassan who is now the Director-General of the Governance, Integrity and Anti-Corruption Centre (GIACC).
Prior to his latest appointment, Jamil, who has 29 years of experience in the civil service, was the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Human Resources.
He has also served as Secretary-General of the Home Ministry, Deputy Secretary-General (Management) of the ministry and Deputy Secretary-General of the Ministry of Education.
"We hope the presence of Datuk Jamil Rakon can further enhance the excellence of JPM based on his vast experience in the civil service," JPM said in the statement.
