Hamzah Zainuddin heads list of 679 Sabah award recipients

KOTA KINABALU, October 2 -- Home Minister Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainuddin heads the list of 679 recipients of awards and medals in conjunction with the 67th birthday of the Yang Dipertua Negeri of Sabah Tun Juhar Mahiruddin tomorrow.
The Sabah State Palace said in a statement today that Hamzah would be among four people who will receive the highest state award - Seri Panglima Darjah Kinabalu (SPDK) - that carries the title Datuk Seri Panglima.
The others are Senior Minister (Security) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob; Sabah Deputy Chief Minister II Datuk Dr Jeffrey Kitingan, who is also Sabah Agriculture and Fisheries Minister; and Sabah State Secretary Datuk Safar Untong.
Public Service Department director-general Tan Sri Mohd Khairul Adib Abd Rahman, meanwhile, is among 33 people who will receive the second-highest state award - Panglima Gemilang Darjah Kinabalu (PGDK) - that carries the title Datuk.
The others include Sabah Federal secretary Datuk Samsuni Mohd Nor, Sabah attorney-general Brenndon Keith Soh, Sabah Police Commissioner Datuk Hazani Ghazali and the late Sabah footballer Peter Rajah.
The other recipients of PGDK are Sabah State Education director Dr Mistirine Radin, Matunggong assemblywoman Julita Majungki, Bingkor assemblyman Robert Tawik, Sipitang Bersatu division chief Matbali Musah, Beaufort UMNO Wanita chief Siti Aminah Aching, and Kumpulan Suria Capital managing director Ng Kiat Min.
Also receiving the PGDK are Amir@ Amir Shah Yaakub, Chee Chi Nyen, Daud Sedek@ Mohd Daud, Gan En Siong@ Fredian Gan, Guan Dee Bin Koh Hoi, Jamal Norubit@ Jamal Nerubi, Khoo Thau Yong, Lo Vun Che@ Jessica, M.Yahya Dunggi, Marahan@ Omarkhan Amirusin, Mariam Omar.
Mariana Tinggal, Matthew Tan Yaw Tzuu, Dr Mohaizi Mohamad, Mohammed Sahid Nawab Khan, Naim Ahmat, Ng Siew Chon, Raymond Sze To Mei Thong, Soon Ket Woon, Tang Yong Siang, Tay Seng Chai, and Umar Sarim Saidin.
Meanwhile 5th Infantry Brigade commander Brigadier General Zambery @ Jefry Darus and 13th Infantry Brigade commander Brigedier General Abdul Razak Hussain are among 65 recipients of the Ahli Setia Darjah Kinabalu (ASDK).
A total of 94 people are awarded the Ahli Darjah Kinabalu (ADK), 156 received the Bintang Setia Kinabalu (BSK), 183 awarded the Bintang Kinabalu (BK) and 133 the Certificate of Honours (CH).
In this regard, Sabah State Public Services Department director Datuk (Datu) Rosmadi Datu Sulai, Kawang assemblyman Ghulam Haidar Khan Bahadar, and Kota Kinabalu mayor Nordin Siman are among 11 recipients of the Justice of Peace (JP).
