Man steals woman's handbag in mosque in broad daylight

KUALA LUMPUR: A thief stole the handbag of a women performing prayers in broad daylight.
The act inside a mosque in Sungai Besi, which was also caught on camera, is now being investigated by the police.
"Once the complainant had completed her prayers, she noticed that her handbag had disappeared. CCTV footage showed a male suspect had taken the bag as she was praying.
"Efforts to trace the suspect down are currently being undertaken," said Cheras OCPD Asst Comm Mohamed Mokhsein Mohamed Zon.
Those with information on the incident are advised to contact the police at the Kuala Lumpur police hotline number, 03 2115 9999, or their nearest police station.
