The 39-year-old woman, who is attached to the office of the deputy secretary general of Finance Ministry, will be remanded from Friday till Feb 19.
Magistrate Ahmad Afiq Hassan allowed an application for the remand requested by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission prosecutors.
The woman is said to have accepted bribes from a property agent as a reward for the sale of government property in Hong Kong.
She is said to have committed the offence sometime last year.
It is believed the suspect accepted the money in exchange for getting her boss's approval for the sales tender for the property.
"She was arrested at her office at the Finance Ministry on Thursday so that the MACC can investigate the case," said a source.
