1. Former Education Minister Teo Nie Ching has urged the ministry to investigate, after an explicit sex video appeared during an online exam for Form 2 students of a secondary school in KL.
She also urged the MOE to keep the public informed of the progress of the investigations.
2. This is to reassure parents that there will be no more repeats of such incidents.
According to Free Malaysia Today, the incident occurred as students were taking attendance before a a design and technology exam on Google Meet
3. Parents told FMT that the teacher immediately ordered to students to exit the virtual classroom and the exam was conducted using online forms.
It is not known who shared the video in the group and the classroom was believed to have been hacked.
4. However, one teacher claimed the issue was caused by students sharing the Google Meet link with other students who are not from the classroom.
Some parents are also calling for a report to be lodged to the police and to MCMC.
