KUALA LUMPUR – Individuals eligible for the Covid-19 booster shot are advised to register for the waitlist at only one private vaccination centre (PPV) to avoid confusion.

ProtectHealth Corporation Sdn Bhd, a wholly owned subsidiary of ProtectHealth Malaysia established under the Health Ministry, said registration for the waitlist at PPVs of private health facilities under is free and only the Pfizer vaccine will be dispensed at these centres.

“Apart from walk-ins, registration of names in the waitlist at these PPVs can also be done via phone and email according to the PPV list that is available on the ProtectHealth website at the link https://ift.tt/3cdnoW0, starting Monday. The PPV list will be updated from time to time.

“This approach will facilitate and encourage eligible individuals to receive the booster shot earlier without having to wait too long, in addition to helping the government ensure the vaccines are not wasted and can be used optimally,” said ProtectHealth in a statement today.

Individuals who have successfully registered will be placed on a waitlist and will be contacted by the facility concerned if there are cancellations or if the individuals are no-shows for their appointments, which will be informed via MySejahtera.

The registration for the waitlist is for individuals who have not received an appointment and are eligible for a booster shot, including front-line staff, individuals aged 40 and above, and individuals aged 18 and above with comorbidities who need to travel abroad.

Apart from that, those who have not received the first or second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine, including adolescents aged 12 to 17, as well as those who missed their appointments, can also sign up for the waitlist.
