Public watch in horror as man falls from 22nd floor of Wisma Sanyan

SIBU (Sept 7): Members of the public here watched in horror as a man fell from the 22nd floor of Wisma Sanyan today.
When contacted, Sibu police chief ACP Stanley Jonathan Ringgit said the victim was a 42-year-old lawyer, believed to be suffering from depression.

incident at 1.30pm from members of the public.
“The floor is occupied by the Sibu Municipal Council’s (SMC) Engineering Division.
“At the time of the incident, there were six SMC staff taking a break at their designated workplace and they did not realise the man’s presence. Others went out for lunch,” he said in a statement.
Stanley said early investigation found no criminal element in the case.
“The case is classified as sudden death,” he said.
Those who are experiencing depression are advised to speak to a counsellor or contact the Welfare Department’s Helpline on 082-514141.
