The Pakatan Harapan (PH) Presidential Council admitted that there was a meeting between them and the representative of the Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.
KUALA LUMPUR: The Pakatan Harapan (PH) Presidential Council admitted that there was a meeting between them and the representative of the Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.
PH in a statement on Saturday informed that, the meeting took place on Friday.
Pakatan Harapan also provided additional views and suggestions on the seven reforms announced by Ismail Sabri yesterday
Yesterday’s meeting discussed a number of policy matters and specific programs where emphasis was also given to the need to carry out reforms in the economic and public health fields to address the COVID-19 pandemic.
"Besides that, the issue of Parliamentary travel, the question of legitimacy, and matters related to the improvement of Government governance were also discussed," said a joint statement by PKR President, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim; Amanah President, Mohamad Sabu and DAP Secretary General, Lim Guan Eng.
PH is also of the view that an additional fiscal injection of RM45 billion should be made to the RM65 billion COVID-19 Fund which currently has only RM8.6 billion left to address the COVID-19 pandemic and provide financial assistance to the people.
“In addition there should be an exemption of interest payments on the moratorium on bank loans for the B40 and M40 groups.
“The Presidential Council also discussed the political reform measures that need to be included in
in the memorandum, such as empowering the implementation of the current 18 Vote, Parliamentary reform and the independence of the judiciary, among others.
"Representatives have also discussed the issue of the vote of confidence as well as the mechanism for monitoring the implementation of this memorandum of understanding," the statement added.

overcoming the economic recession that has hit our country, "the statement said.

• Datuk Seri Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar, Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Parliament and Law)
• Tan Sri Annuar Musa, Minister of Communications and Multimedia
• Senator Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz, Minister of Finance
