BANGKOK, Jan 4 -- Thailand will receive two million doses of COVID-19 vaccine developed by China’s pharmaceutical company, Sinovac Biotech Ltd, next month amid the second wave of the outbreak in the kingdom.
In a statement, the Public Health Ministry said that the first shipment numbering 200,000 doses are expected to arrive by end of February, 800,000 doses by end of March, and 1 million doses by end of April.
Thailand is racing to contain the latest outbreak which started from a seafood market in Samut Sakhon province in mid-December. To date, it has spread to Bangkok and 52 provinces.
