I give equal importance to party and ministry matters, says Azmin

GEORGE TOWN: PKR deputy president Datuk Seri Azmin Ali (pic) says he has never sidelined party matters as he gives equal importance to both that and his ministerial responsibilities.
“I place a lot of importance on economic matters as people are having political fatigue, and we are only a year in power.
“That is why even my meetings with the Prime Minister are always about economic issues rather than party matters.
“I (also) give importance to party matters and even tonight I am meeting party leaders in Penang, ” Azmin told at a press conference here after chairing an engagement session with the Penang state government on the 12th Malaysia Plan.
The Economic Affairs Minister also denied he led a group of Opposition members who met with Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad recently.
“I don't know which meeting you are asking about as I meet Tun (Dr Mahathir) many times, ” he said.
Azmin added that it was time to focus on the people who are suffering from the high cost of living and low income.
