Flash floods hit Subang Jaya after downpour

An evening downpour caused many parts of Subang Jaya to be hit by flash floods.

At least three cars were trapped in a flash flood along Persiaran Kewajipan during rush hour traffic on Thursday (Aug 15).

A viral video shows cars floating as the water was rising in front of the Subang Jaya police station in USJ 8.

font-size: 1em; line-height: 1.35em; margin-bottom: 8px; overflow: hidden; padding: 0px;">Water also rose along other parts of Persiaran Kewajipan, which includes the front of Summit USJ, Da Men Mall, USJ 7 LRT station, Persiaran Subang Permai outside Giant USJ, Mydin Mall in USJ 1 as well as near SMK USJ 12.

The Subang Jaya Municipal Council has yet to comment.
