Two traffic cops seriously injured as car driver runs roadblock

SHAH ALAM (Bernama): Two traffic policemen were seriously injured after they were knocked down by a car when the driver tried to run through a roadblock at Persiaran Kuala Selangor in Section 15 here.
Shah Alam district police chief ACP Baharudin Mat Taib said that police received a call at 10.59am Monday (June 24) that two of its personnel were knocked down by a male and female suspect while on duty.

his neck and leg.
"Another traffic policeman who chased the couple's car was also knocked down and was injured on the leg," he said at the Shah Alam Hospital's emergency ward here.
ACP Baharudin said that the two injured policemen were taken to the Shah Alam Hospital for treatment.
"Their injuries are serious but they are in stable condition," he said.
He added that preliminary report found the male suspect had a drug record.
"The case is investigated under Section 307 of the Penal Code for attempted murder and the Dangerous Drugs Act," he added. – Bernama
